Medallion Round 4 2017-2018 #2

I completed both of the round 4 Medallions while at the Cedar Ridge retreat in early May.

I had a yard of this butterfly fabric in my stash and it went perfectly.  I created the butterfly corner stones and added the small inset to make it a bit more interesting.

I worked on this Medallion Round 4 at the Cedar Ridge retreat in May 2018.  It seemed a bit to bright to me (thought I'd never say that).  So I wanted my round to tone it down a bit and therefore have a lot of black. 

 I decided on putting the block only partially on each side as it was too busy with it all the way around.  Having the black calming space helped in toning it down. This is the final round
