Medallion 2019-2020 Round 2

I had some great ideas on what I would do with this medallion when I signed up.  When I got it for round 2, none of my ideas would work.

So I decided to make a simple round so it had a calming space. I first put in the small multi strip to hold the bias edges.

Here it is completed.

Medallion 2019 -2020 Round 3 (#1)

I signed up for this one because it needed someone to to a round 3.  The colors are washed out in these photos.  It is much brighter.

I decided on this diamond border as I wanted to try it out.  I was almost complete when I read further in the book and realized that there were other sizes.  I think larger diamonds would have been better.  But I was not willing to redo.

Here it is completed.

Medallion 2019 -2020 Round 3 (#2)

I signed up for this one because it needed someone for round 3.  I really liked what had been done before me.

I struggled in figuring out what to do.  I decided on tis as I've done it before many times and it has amazing results.  However I'm not happy with this, it is just okay.

Here is it completed.

Medallion 2019 - 2020 Round 4

The person that had signed up for this one got into a car accident and broke her arm so I took it on.

I felt it need some white space to calm it down but I also wanted to continue the diamond theme. This was also the last round done

Medallion starts and finishes 2019 - 2020

This was a Row by Row from the year of water theme.  I got a kit from a store in Phoenix and it made two with a lot of scraps.  I made and sold the other one.

Here is how it finished in Oct 2020.  Great concept in making 4 seasonal panels.

I made a quilt with the barn blocks and had a lot of farm animal fabric left over so I thought it would be a good medallion start.

This is how it finished.  So cute.

2020 UFO Challenge

Using the allpeoplequilt.com/resolution form for UFO Challenge several of my friends modified the challenge.

Participants: Myself, Dena, Carole, Karla, Nancy, Katie, Joanne, Dale, Cindy and Karin (who joined late and is back east caring for her parents and does not have all the projects with her which became an issue with the pandemic)

To provide more motivation we modified what we want to do.

1. Each participant puts $20 in at the beginning of the year (Carole is holding the money).  We call this the buy-in.
2. Make the list of 12 UFO projects, stating what the status of the project is now and what you want to have accomplished by the end of the month of working on it (this is similar to MQSC VP UFO challenge).
3. On the first of each month I will determine the number of the project to work on.  We started the year by selecting two months so people can work ahead it they choose.
4. On the last day of the month if you have not achieved the stated status (on the list sheet) then you have to pay a $5 penalty to the "kitty".
5. You can work on any of the 12 UFO projects listed anytime (not just the specified month) to work ahead or catch-up on your list.
6. At the end of the year if you complete your list your buy-in $20 is returned.
7. Anyone who does not complete their list has their buy-in added to the "kitty".  The "kitty" money is divided by all those who do complete their list.

My list is:
