Quilts quilted in Jan 2018

This post is to record the quilts that I quilt in 2018.  Given to Community Quilts 2019

#1 Jan (Toujours" by Pressed for Time Quiltworks 50x60)
This top was made by mom several years ago.  I quilted several large sailboats with calm water between.

#2 Jan (All Stacked Up by Free Spirit Fabrics 62x79)

Mom made this quilt top last year from a kit purchased while in Bend OR in July.  I wanted to practice quilting feathers so I did different feathers in each block.  After a few block of 100% free motion I started to use rulers to create areas within each block to quilt the feathers.  I also went on Pintrist to get a few ideas on types of feathers and tried different motifs instead of travel stitching bump backs.

#3 Jan ("One for the Money" by Grizzly Gulch Gallery 58x64) - sold Sisters 2018
I'm not sure if mom or I made this quilt top many years ago.  It was probably both of us.  The pattern is One For the Money.  I wanted to continue practicing feathers so decided to do this grid pattern overall and fill-in with feathers on alternating "pinwheels"

#4 Jan ("Rusty's Block"   44 x 56)  Given to Community quilts 2018
Mom made this quilt top this year.  As it small I wanted to try an overall feather to practice making feather of different sizes.  I first free motioned an overall meander with a few swirls and then went back a put in the feathers attempting to fill in everything.
