Mom, Sue and I helped hang quilts again this year. We got a great section and it did not require ladder work. Sue did have to get on a chair to hang a few of the quilts. We then toured the show for a few hours. Found 9 or our 10 entries. Weather was great! Not hot and only a little threat of rain.
These were quilts that caught our interest.
I want to be able to these types of curving pieces.
I think these were photo transferred pictures of old sewing machines...maybe Spoonflower?
What we found most interesting about this one was... there was no binding. Probably because some of the fish are off the quilt. Also the selling price was $4000. I wonder if it sold.
The sun was shining from behind this quilt so it distorted the color a bit. But every year I seem to like a quilt made fro Tula Pink's book 100 Modern Quilt Blocks. I think I'm going to finally buy the book.
Mom and both really like this one. Book was Accent on Angles. Just so happens to be a book we own but have not made anything from. That will change.
I really like this block and border. It is from Quilter's Cache and the block is God's Eye.

I like how the background is a gradient on this quilt.
